Phoebe Lamers
Intern
I work with couples and relationships navigating infidelity, conflict, communication challenges, sexual concerns, and intimacy issues. I also work with individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, trauma, and LGBTQ+ concerns.

About
When working with couples, my goal is to help couples strengthen communication, build trust, deepen intimacy, and enhance connection. I am actively studying and applying Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), while also training in systemic-based approaches, including attachment theory and parts work.
In working with individuals, I assist them in processing trauma, managing symptoms, and actualizing their identity. I am also building specializations in sex therapy and religious trauma. Many individuals and couples encounter emotional, mental, or physical difficulties related to sex, and I aim to help them overcome these barriers to foster personal confidence and relational fulfillment. Likewise, because spirituality influences many aspects of identity, religious trauma can have wide-reaching effects on a person’s well-being. I work to help clients recognize, process, and heal from the lasting impact of religious trauma.
Professional Achievement
I am currently in my final year of a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bellevue University. Last year I completed my practicum at Waybridge and am supervised by Caitlin Yilmazer, LPCC-S.
