About
My first goal is to get to know you and build a relationship with you. You’ll find I’m supportive, accepting, warm, and that I truly enjoy listening to your experience, helping you make sense of it. I balance this healing relationship with gentle challenge – bringing your attention to perspectives and patterns you may not have noticed. I also like to incorporate some learning & skill building – about neuroscience, relationships, regulation strategies, thought patterns, mindfulness, or others.
I am systemic in nature, meaning I will bring awareness to patterns in your relationships, your actions, and your thoughts to create positive change. I’ll help you listen to yourself and understand yourself in a new way. We may explore past experiences and relationships to explain underlying feelings, behaviors, or motivations. Ultimately, I aim to get you to a place where you feel secure and confident in being you – whether that’s getting back to feeling like yourself or uncovering a new you. Prioritizing our relationship leads my treatment to be adaptable – we create goals together and we build treatment for the unique person you are.
Professional Achievement
I received my Master’s degree from Xavier University and my Bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University. Prior to becoming a counselor, I worked in business at a large company. This breadth of experience has helped shape my understanding of the world.
