About

As a systemic couples and family counselor, I work from an interactive, collaborative approach that helps clients feel supported while gaining practical tools for change. I focus on understanding the relational patterns that shape people’s lives, and I partner with clients to address both current challenges and long-standing dynamics with clarity, compassion, and respect. When working with children, the parents are always involved in the therapeutic process.

Professional Achievement

My background includes extensive work in agency and community counseling settings, where I supported youth, adults, and families across many stages of life. I also served for over ten years on the Clermont and Brown County crisis hotline, an experience that strengthened my ability to remain steady, attuned, and effective during moments of high stress or emotional intensity. These experiences allow me to meet clients with a calm, grounded presence and a deep appreciation for the resilience people carry. I draw from a range of therapeutic models and techniques, integrating what will be most helpful for each individual, couple, or family. My work is rooted in systemic family therapy, emphasizing connection, communication, and the strengths already present within each person and relationship. Areas of Focus • Couples therapy and relationship dynamics • Family therapy across the lifespan • Depression and mood concerns • Risk assessment and crisis intervention for youth and young adults Every client is supported in identifying their strengths, clarifying their goals, and building a path toward meaningful, sustainable change. Whether working with an individual, a couple, or a family, I strive to create a space where people feel understood, empowered, and hopeful about what’s possible.
