About
My orientation is person-centered, creating a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and empowered. I think growth occurs through authentic connections and I strive to help create those connections. This will lead to greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence to help navigate life’s challenges. My clinical interests include working with individuals experiencing obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, and trauma-related concerns. I know a bit about Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a treatment for OCD/anxiety disorders that help clients confront fears while reducing them at the same time. In addition to ERP, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills into my work to help clients build coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, strengthen tolerance to stress, and challenge thought patterns. I have also been expanding my knowledge in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and other trauma frameworks to further support individuals process trauma.
Professional Achievement
I have my undergraduate degree in psychology from University of Cincinnati and am at Wright State University for my Masters. I have been engaged in the behavioral health field for the past 4 years, involved in many different sanctions of the hospital such as inpatient, residential, and partial hospitilization programs.
