What is Eye Movement

Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)?

Supported by extensive research, EMDR offers innovative and transformative healing in a variety of areas including PTSD and stress-related issues, depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, chronic pain, performance anxiety and attachment healing. EMDR emphasizes the connection between body and mind and taps into your inherent healing potential.
Learn more about how EMDR works here.

How Attachment Can Impact Your Life
We begin learning about relationships from the moment we are born and learn how to engage with every person we meet. When we do not receive the attention, care, positive treatment we need in our early life, often times, we can take these tendencies or habits into our adult life causing cycles to repeat and our inability to move freely into  healthy, positive relationships

Childhood Trauma
Two thirds of individuals have or will experience at least one traumatic event by the age of 16. Whether abuse, neglect, bullying, physical assault, medical trauma, or other adverse childhood experience, these events leave a lasting mark on our emotional state. Consistent therapy can assist in reversing these impacts and improving overall happiness and life satisfaction.

Domestic Violence

Trauma treatment helps victims process and make sense of their traumatic experiences through therapeutic techniques such as trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Grief and Loss
Loss does not only mean death. Loss can include loss of a friendship, relationship, difficult family dynamic. Loss includes loosing the future you thought you might have which can lead to profound impact on your world and how you interact with it.
Therapy can help as you move through pain and into healing.

At Waybridge, we offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore and express a wide range of emotions and impact. We hope to help you use your unique set of strengths to build resilience and create meaning.

In-Office: Cincinnati | Ft. Thomas Virtual: KY, OH Do you feel like you’re always on high alert, waiting for the other shoe to drop? Are chunks of your life missing, leaving blank spots where memories should be? Do you find yourself replaying certain experiences over and over again? If so, you’re not alone. Over 70% of adults have experienced at least one traumatic event in their lifetime. Trauma can leave you feeling like you’re fighting for your life, even when you’re perfectly safe. Unlike other mental health issues, trauma is triggered by an outside event that is so terrible, so intolerable that it leaves an imprint on the brain. As a result, the brain might perceive a threat where none exists. This is why months or even years later, you might feel the same way you did when you first experienced trauma. I know first-hand the way trauma colors every aspect of your life. I also know healing is possible, and your past does not have to define you. Counseling can help you move forward. In a calm, safe, and trusting environment, we will work together to help you heal from the past and find the peace-of-mind you’ve been searching for.

In-Office: Lexington | Virtual: KY, OH I work with individuals, couples, and other partnerships to decrease relationship concerns. My focus areas include infidelity, trouble communicating, high conflict, and difficulty connecting intimately or sexually. I utilize an integrative process focused on engaging clients through psychodynamic, systemic, and experiential lenses to create an “entire picture” that supports dynamic equilibrium. My approach to therapy is person-centered. I engage in a nonjudgmental, cooperative, interactive, and individualized style. I am trained in various modalities and support clients with multiple concerns, including relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, anger, stress, trauma, PTSD, low self-esteem/self-confidence, career exploration, life transitions, addictions, personality disorders, and SMI. As a therapist, I aim to support unique individual healing paths. Being a Certified Personal Medicine Coach (CPMC) allows me to integrate tools beyond generic coping skills. I engage individuals in exploring their personal medicine that supports tapping into and strengthening inner resilience to overcome and manage symptoms and other concerns. I am furthering my psychodynamic therapy training at Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute (CPI) and pursuing my PhD in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology.
