Melanie Engber, CT
Intern
I primarily work with adults and kids and hope to have a primary focus on neurodivergence and ways to navigate and cope.

About
My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe effective treatment begins with creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard. I work closely with each patient to understand their goals, challenges, lifestyle, and strengths, then develop a personalized treatment plan that may include evidence-based therapy techniques, education, skill-building, and ongoing support. Throughout the process, I emphasize open communication, practical strategies, and consistent follow-through so patients feel empowered and actively involved in their care rather than simply being directed through it.
The treatment process typically starts with a thorough assessment to identify concerns, establish goals, and create a roadmap for care. As treatment progresses, we regularly evaluate what is working, adjust approaches when needed, and focus on building sustainable coping tools and long-term resilience. Patients can reasonably expect greater self-awareness, improved symptom management, healthier patterns of thinking and behavior, and stronger confidence in navigating daily challenges. While progress looks different for every individual, my goal is to help patients achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in both their overall well-being and quality of life.
Professional Achievement
I am a graduate student studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University.
