Description
The workshop will identify:
-the dynamics of domestic violence and elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation;
-effects of domestic violence and elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation on adult and child victims;
-the effects of domestic violence on adults and children who witness domestic violence
-legal remedies for protection;
-lethality and risk assessment and screening model protocols for addressing domestic violence and elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation;
-available community resources and victim services; and reporting requirements.

Erin Curry-Zeigler
Erin is the team leader of Waybridge's Trauma Team. She works with clients through individual and partner therapy, with a specialty in treating adults with sexual assault and intimate partner violence. Her goal is to provide individuals and couples with a safe, welcoming environment. As a therapist, her role is to help her clients feel comfortable as they work through various thoughts and emotions. Erin's treatment approaches includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Waybridge Counseling will be providing 3 counselor CEU credits for this workshop.
Waybridge is a Continuing Education Provider for the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage and Family Therapy Board.

​This workshop was designed meet the requirements of KRS 194A.540 requiring training on domestic violence and elder abuse.

​This program meets the expectations of Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as outlined in the Arizona Administrative Code R-46-802 as defined as "activities sponsored or approved by national, regional, or state professional associations or organizations in the specialties of marriage and family therapy, professional counseling, and social work".
