What is Eye Movement

Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)?

Supported by extensive research, EMDR offers innovative and transformative healing in a variety of areas including PTSD and stress-related issues, depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, chronic pain, performance anxiety and attachment healing. EMDR emphasizes the connection between body and mind and taps into your inherent healing potential.

How Attachment Can Impact Your Life
We begin learning about relationships from the moment we are born and learn how to engage with every person we meet. When we do not receive the attention, care, positive treatment we need in our early life, often times, we can take these tendencies or habits into our adult life causing cycles to repeat and our inability to move freely into  healthy, positive relationships

Childhood Trauma
Two thirds of individuals have or will experience at least one traumatic event by the age of 16. Whether abuse, neglect, bullying, physical assault, medical trauma, or other adverse childhood experience, these events leave a lasting mark on our emotional state. Consistent therapy can assist in reversing these impacts and improving overall happiness and life satisfaction.

Domestic Violence

Trauma treatment helps victims process and make sense of their traumatic experiences through therapeutic techniques such as trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Grief and Loss
Loss does not only mean death. Loss can include loss of a friendship, relationship, difficult family dynamic. Loss includes loosing the future you thought you might have which can lead to profound impact on your world and how you interact with it.
Therapy can help as you move through pain and into healing.

At Waybridge, we offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore and express a wide range of emotions and impact. We hope to help you use your unique set of strengths to build resilience and create meaning.
