This 3 hour introduction to Use of Self is a live virtual workshop. Use of Self in therapy will provide the opportunity to deepen your work with individuals, couples and families by helping clients access their inner strengths and resources to stimulate their inner healing energy. Experientially explore ‘the use of self’ in the process of transformational change within systems.

Objectives
Define what is SELF?
Learn ways to re-claim SELF (Congruence).
Understand ethical SELF disclosure .
Learn strategies for opening up your vulnerable and authentic SELF .
Learn accepted guidelines for revealing our SELVES.
Learn how to maintain authentic contact and connection with SELF when working with clients.
Learn how to activate and utilize resources of SELF.
Understand how to trust intuition to guide the therapeutic process.
Recognize and resolve triggers within parts of the therapist to access SELF more easily.
About the presenter...
Linda Lucas has extensive training in Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy. Linda is an enthusiastic, experienced trainer for professionals, teachers, educators, staff and families working with at-risk adolescents, attachment issues, addictions, couples, families, grief and loss, and self-care. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Sangamon State University, Springfield, Illinois, USA, and earned a Master of Arts in Human Developmental Counseling at the University of Illinois, Springfield, Illinois, USA.
Linda is a past President of the Satir Institute of the Pacific, clinical member of the Satir Institute of the Pacific, a member of the Satir Institute of the Pacific Training Directorate and the Program Director of the Institute. She is an approved senior trainer and faculty for the Banmen Satir China Management Center. Linda is a member of the Virginia Satir Global Network, and Michigan Counseling Association. She provided Ethics classes for the Idaho Mental Health Counseling Association. Linda is a licensed clinical certified supervisor for Idaho licensed
